An Oklahoma Army National Guardsman uses Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-approved methods to disinfect the railing around an open stairwell of the Norman Veterans Center in Norman, Oklahoma, April 29, 2020. Guardsmen were at the Center to disinfect commonly touched surfaces and high traffic areas including handrails, chair arms, tables, switches and elevator buttons, split up into three teams, in order to more efficiently covering all of the common areas of the 275,000 square-foot facility. Using pressure sprayers and hand sprayers, the teams worked from the back of the facility to the front. The residents’ military service spans from World War II to Operation Desert Storm.
