Airmen compete for glory at base Olympics

Tech. Sgt. Benjamin Cowart, assigned to the 137th Maintenance Group,  hurls a tire downrange in the tire toss competition during the base Olympics. One at a time, Cowart and other competitors had to find their own unique way of tossing the tire as far as they could.

Col. Glen Baker, Commander of the 137th Air Refueling Wing, competes against his fellow wingmen during the push-ups and sit-ups competition. The base Olympics is one of the many events slated to occur on base being hosted and ran by the base mentorship program and the human resources advisors. Airmen assigned to the 137th Maintenance Group here  celebrate victory as they were announced as the first-place winners during the base Olympics held on base, Oct 1. Coming in a close second was the 137th Air Refueling Wing, and following in third was the 137th Medical Group.

"This was one of the proudest moments of my career, said Staff Sgt Chris Howard. "I would like to thank my partner Tech Sgt Slater for his continued support throughout the race."
