At the forefront: 137th AES commander reflects on lessons learned during major wartime, disaster and pandemic aeromedical responses

U.S. Air Force Col. Darcy Tate, the commander of the 137th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (137th AES), was the first in her family, as well as the first woman, to join the Air National Guard. Tate has been at the forefront of historical wartime, disaster and pandemic aeromedical responses throughout her career.
